I visited the Marketplace of the Americas this week to see how construction/refurbishing was coming along. The Carousel is in – and it really works. Our space is very close to it. The work goes on. Painting and new flooring in progress, walls still going up, lots of activity. The outside is beautiful with its bright new paint job and newly-paved parking lot. The opening is still not firm, but it gives us time to do a really good job of getting set up.
Alaskan art: Lots of it is ready to go in and a reproduction of an Alutiq ceremonial mask is in progress (the first of many). It’s amazing.
Jewelry: First consignment received and I’m thrilled with it.
Postcards: A huge collection ready for display – so colorful and attractive.
Acrylics, pastels and watercolors: A shipment is just about ready to go off from the U.K. ~ Beautiful work!
Photo Prints: Expecting the first shipment from California any day now. It’s some of the best Photography I’ve ever seen.
